What causes the light blue in Blue Lace Agate?
I've been looking for information about causes of colors in minerals...
Thanks for your help!

There are several reasons for colours in minerals / gemstones. Mains reasons include:
- Certain elements in the mineral's / gem's chemical composition (in the case of some minerals)
- Defects in the crystal structure of the mineral
- Inclusions of foreign material in the mineral
- Damage in the crystal structure caused for example by natural radiation
- Trace elements - for instance "transition" elements or "REE" elements
- Other scattering / refraction of light inside the mineral, several reasons here

Regarding Blue Calcite, some say the blue color is caused by strontium. Is it right?
I thought strontium was not safe to touch...

OK, so, Blue Calcite doesn't have strontium...(tu)
