which dig-camra is best and acnomical for minerals photography?

hi friends/i was gona buy a digital camra.but dont know which one.i also i want to know if thre is any lighting systenem which i can use to take as many pictuers i want and keep the quality of pictuers too without waiting for sun to come out.

I would go with a Panasonic FZ28, FZ35, or LX3. Can not be beat for closeup/macro photography. Attaching the tube adapter + Raynox add-on lenses you have unlimited capabilities and can even reach magnifications typically only reached by using a microscope.

As for lighting, the 6500K Daylight CFL bulbs from Wal-Mart work excellent in the clamp on shop lights. An even better alternative is the same lights but use the Ott-Lite bulbs.

I've never been able to find out the exact color temperature of the Ott-Lite fluorescent tubes, but have used them for several years to very good result.
