looking for colorful, flashy mineral photos

Hi,
I'm on the Publicity Committee for the Houston Gem and Mineral Show, and usually do the photography for the postcard we send out (last 4 years). This year the publicity people decided to do something different and came up with a trifold brochure. I've submitted a number of photos to them, but they keep getting rejected as not colorful enough or not looking enough like a mineral crystal. I'm not sure I have what they want, so I'm reaching out to the photographers here for help. Full credit for your photo on the brochure, but no payment involved, since I do my work pro bono for the Committee. I'm looking for photos that show definite crystal form and rich color, and wouldn't confuse a paleo person, lapidary or casual show attendee. To give you an example of what was rejected, they tried using my photo of a cogwheel adamite on matrix from Mapimi of the highest quality, and someone thought it looked like a fossil!!
If accepted, I'd need a 2 - 6 Mb .jpg file at a decent dpi.
Thanks for any help!

Steve

You may use any photo of mine here on Mindat (http://www.mindat.org/user-6770.html#2_0_0_0_0_0_) or on my web page (www.dragon-minerals.com). I ask only that I be acknowledged, and that I receive a copy of the brochure.

Guys,
Thanks for all the quick replies. I'll take a look at your galleries and sites today and tonight and make copies of those I think the committee might like. You have as good a chance of having a photo chosen as I do, despite my previous reputation with the publicity committee. It's a quirky group this year, with no real mineral collectors, and they will be looking for what will appeal to the general public as well as rockhounds (notice I didn't say mineral colllectors - there's a difference as I'm sure you know).

As I said, all photos chosen will be acknowledged in the brochure, and you will get free copies of it.

Thanks to all who responded to this thread. I showed a selection to my Publicity committee and the photos have been chosen for the flyer and the poster for this year's HGMS annual show in September.
