<HTML>The lalondeite, bobtraillite and manganokukisvumite descriptions are in press or preparation.
Anybody interested in gatelite-(Ce) or Trimouns minerals should look at the special issue of Le Règne Minéral (2002 Hors Serie) on Trimouns. The LRM happens to be the best mineral magazine for collectors at the moment in my humble opinion. I expect some of you to dissagree with this statement.

<HTML>Lalondeite, bobtraillite and (I think) manganokukisvumite (I'm working fom memory now) are described in MAC Special Publication 6 - "Mineral Species Discovered in Canada and Species Named after Canadians" by László Horváth.

Enjoyable reading, good information. [Not to be considered a plug]

<HTML>Jim,
Yes, you are correct about the three species and also martinite and haineaultite. I had special dispensations from the authors, but the inclusion of these in the book does not in any way constitute a preemptive description only a mention. Haineaultite is now in press (Can.Min.).

<HTML>Haineaultite - finally!

I realize your descriptions are not formal publications, but they do constitute a valid publication of the mineral description. I had the same dispenation from several authors when I did the Classification in 1982.

Martinite was published in the 2002 IMA 18th General Meeting Program & Abstracts (p139. BTW,catalanoite and redgillite were also published in the same Abstracts, and neither species is had been approved, but they still made the IMA's meeting abstracts.
