Taking advantage of the sales trip to St. George, Utah in the USA, I took my son to a location called Gooseberry Mesa. I found out that it is a popular biking area. Automobile travel is restricted. We walked around just below the top of the mesa and saw pieces of petrified wood everywhere.

Be Advised, Although not posted, The area I visited is closed to collection. The only place I found this information out was by visiting the BLM website for the region. The area has been specified as an area of environmental concern. Walk around and enjoy the wood and the scenery. It is breathtaking!
