Just a little curiosity. Anyone have any?

Can't send a photo but I have a nice mineral tattoo on my left little finger where it was crushed by a fluorite-rich boulder that was much heavier than I thought it was.

Black dot of graphite in the web between thumb and forefinger from stabbing myself there with pencil in third or fourth grade.

If you consider asphalt to be a mineral, I have lots of tiny bits of it forming patchy tattoos in my knee and foot. (Note to self: human skin rubbing against the road is not an efficient motorbike brake. Pick a different method next time.)

I had a pectolite fiber in my thumb for about 15 years

How about a small scar from a wayward rock thrown by a little brother.

some fumes from fumaroles I should not have inhaled ;-) some dust I should probably not have eaten, some scars from when I should have stopped hammering and some mental damage. That's all :-)
I should tattoo myself somewhere though... "minerals hurt" on my left hand would be the right text (I'm right handed and always hit my left hand somehow)

Well thats acually better then I hoped. I also have a few graphite spots from childhood. What I ment was actual tattoos of minerals.

I've been planning on getting a band of Chrysotile around my right arm. That would be a pretty sweet mineral tattoo, eh?

Donations? =)

I then go for a boulangerite-ring for around my middle finger :-)

no
I was just about to put my arm under the scanner and claim the hairs to be chrysotile... grinning smiley

But what about some fancy cyclic twinning, like sagenite...

I just can't get into the tatoo thing....I volunteered at a nursing home when young and there is nothing uglier than an aged person with tatoos, yuck!

But Gail,
Nothing is cooler than my grandfathers' blurry hula girl on his forearm.

He got that when he was 13 and drunk. Not a good, but a common combination for a quality tattoo! Drinking and inkin!

Donations can be paypal'ed to Justin@the-vug.com =)

Cassiar jade green Chrysotile, 2.5 inches wide, around my right arm. Would that not be the coolest mineral tattoo ever?

I want to tattoo my right hand, with a circle and a line diagonally through it, saying 'for minerals not hammers', as the joints of the fingers and the finger tips have been flattened one or two times too many, by not heeding that simple instruction

I've done tooth tattoos on the side of new crowns, for certain patients
that have asked......baseballs, outline of Texas with a star in Austin's location,
team emblems, the leaf of a certain mind expanding herb.....<grin>.

I suppose a blue cap tourmie, or a quartz cluster wouldn't be too difficult.

well, mineral SORT of..............does a gold mine count? The miner is inside the mine with gold nuggets flying off the end of his pick, in the background is the portal to the mine, and you can see outside (it aint finished on the front yet), and then on the back............well, its the outside of the mine and you can see him inside.............you shouldnt have asked!! hahahahah

Dave, do you want to hire "Calamity Pain" to guard the mine?
