Hello.
A friend and I have been on a treasure hunt throughout the states of Arizona and California.

One of the amazing things that happened to us was meeting up with two miners at the Rawley Mine in Southeast Arizona.
The two men had done some extensive repair work on the mine house in exchange for two weeks of mining rights at the claim. We met them as they were packing up.

They were more than willing to show off their finds, which included many dozens of specimens of wulfenite, ranging from 4 inches across the matrix up to an incredible 16 inches!

They also had some amazing calcite specimens, with the structures looking like fine leaves or feathers, just beautiful!

And the layers of Galena and Chrysocolla! They were simply stunning.

The best part was when they offered to trade a couple samples of wulfenite for some petrified wood collected at our private property bordering the Petrified Forest (we own the mineral rights).

I am now the proud owner of a gorgeous specimen of wulfenite! My piece has crystals surrounding the whole thing, while my friends piece has a streak of galena running through it.

They then dirested us to the tailings piles where we were able to find beautiful specimens of chrysocolla, among other things. I'm posting a few pictures of the wulfenite, as well as some specimens from the tailings pile. The experience was simply amazing, and I will never forget it!!

Regards,
Corie

My camera makes the crystals look yellow, however they are bright orange.
