la Bertrandite a t elle été trouvée par Léon Bertrand ou Emile Bertrand (1844-1909)?

Le premier à decrire la bertrandite a été Damour (1883).

L'espèce est dédiée à Emile Bertrand (1844-1909).

Je pose la question car j'ai aussi trouvé un Léon Bertrand (1869-1947) !!!

D'après la publication suivante:

Chiappero P.-J. & Schubnel H.-J. (2002)Les Types d'espèces minérales de la Galerie de Minéralogie et de géologie du Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Fascucule 2, M.N.H.N Ed., Paris, 45 p.


Bertrandite = Dédié à Emile Bertrand.

La première description du nouveau minéral par E. Bertrand date de 1880, une étude complémentaire a été publiée par Descloizeaux en 1882 et la description finale a été publiée en 1883 par Damour.
