Minas de Ceife ??

Em antiga literatura diz-se: minas de Ceife
Porque hoje minas de palao ????

penso que será ao contrário...
O primeiro nome da mina foi Palão. Em 1946 ainda era assim denominada. Mais tarde passou a designar-se de Ceife, tal como aparece na obra que citou (Bol. Soc. Geol. de Portugal - Vol. IX - 1951).

Ceife e Palão é o nome de duas Ribeiras na imediação da mina, daí o uso destes nomes e a mina ser conhecida por ambos.
