It suprises me that there is no link to Messages on a user's My Page that lets you access your messages. Even better yet would be to have it as a tab.

Or has this been asked before and turned down for some reason?

There are a couple of ways of accessing that info. If you bring up a users profile in the messageboard (clicking on the poster's name or the name on posted by), you can click the "show all posts" link. Also in advanced search, you can look at posts by an author.

I did not think my post through. In clarification, I should have said Private Messages, as in a link to your PM mailbox.
