Cassedanneite-like find
April 24, 2002 03:04AM

I am working on a find from Leadhills, Scotland - which per XRD is similar to cassedanneite-embreyite. To fully nail it down I need help with EPMA or SEM work and I suspect mineral I have has phosphate so mayne new intermediate between these two species.

Hi Brian,
does the find show any crystals (0.05 mm or larger)? Or is the material only microcrystalline?

I am always interested in secondary Pb minerals, and since some time I am looking for small xls of these two species to determine their crystal structure(s).
