Living in Bloomington and collecting frequently, I know several of them. On Indiana route 37, about 10 miles south of Bloomington, in Southern Monroe county, there are the famous Harrodsburg road cuts and on Indiana route 56 about 7 miles East of Salem, in Washington County there are the Indiana 56 road cuts. I must hasten to tell you that collecting is not too good in the summer months as it is hot and dry. There are a number of additional road cuts thru out the area you mention, but they are virtually all barren of fossils and minerals. Only very persistent collectors might have some luck. You need a hard hat and park any vehicles well off the road. No unsupervised children as well; the police usually tolerate collectors except when dangers to motorists exist. See my pix of the road cuts and specimens on the "Midwest Sedimentary Geodes" thread on this website. Good luck and CHEERS............BOB
