GSA meeting Nov. 3-7, 2012 Charlotte, NC

I'm going to be presenting two papers at the Geological Society of America meeting in Charlotte, NC November 3-7, 2012. I would love to get together with other mineral collectors and visit some locations in central/western NC. Contact me if you are interested.

I won't make it this time. But one of my colleagues will be there, Prof. Dennis Dahms. He will be officially nominated GSA fellow this year. If you see him, you can say hi to him by Chris :)

I'll be there, with a poster presentation on Tuesday in the "Recent Advances in Stratigraphy (Posters)" session. My former student Dustin Stolz, now a graduate student at University of Kansas, is listed as presenter, but I'll be there frequently to talk to people who come by. I'm driving, and as usual for my cross-country trips, I 'll make plenty of geological stops both on the way there, the way back, and whenever else I can.

Well then, I'll have to visit your presentations, Norman and Henry!!
