Not that I'm aware of, possibly in a quarry, but you probably can't get permission for that. If you pass through Ann Arbor, give me a ring, you can stop in and trade with me, or I can take you down into Ohio for some collecting if you've got the time for it.

Hi Eddie,
A short distance to the north of Coldwater lies the little town of Bellevue where there are two quarries. Actually three. One is completely flooded, the other is abandoned and may be partially flooded?? but was accessible the last time that I visited and the third is active and I'm uncertain as to accessibility.
The Cheney Limestone Company operates a shallow quarry in town and about a mile away is the older quarry where we would find abundant calcite, marcasite and pyrite and occasionally good barite crystals...as well fossil brachiopod molds lined with green glauconite. It is the only place in Michigan for well-crystallized vivianite though this area has long been quarried away.
The inactive quarry is very shallow and portions of it were beginning to fill with water, though I would find it hard to believe that it is completely flooded...it just doesn't have the dimensions to become a "lake." There are abundant pyrite and calcite veins in the floor--I've found calcite crystals to 2 inches, barite crystals to 2 inches and sharp pyrite crystals to 3/4-inches in both cubes and pyritohedra.
To the south, you might be able to gain access on a Saturday to one of the quarries in Ft. Wayne for fluorite. Other than that, there's not much going on in that area as everything is covered with glacial till. Good luck!

Best regards,
Dana
