Greetings,

I am looking for a decent geiger counter. Can anyone recommend one, as well as a source?
Thanks, Joe

Hi

I would very strongly recommend Gamma Scout:

www.gamma-scout.com

These are more expensive, costing about $400, but the range of features and radiation scales (eg Sieverts, Rems, etc) is very wide. Also, the meter has a usb port, which means that data can be downloaded and analysed on a PC (software included). Finally, it measures alpha, beta and gamma radiations, whereas cheper units are limited to alpha/beta, if your'e lucky!

Cheers

Matt
