This specimen was stolen in the raid on the Museon in the Hague while out on loan.

Historic carbonado diamond from the BMNH among specimens stolen from the Museon diamond exhibition

BM 33599
Diamond "carbonado" from Brazil.
Specimen registered as "Carbonado", it is a dark-brown rounded octahedron, approx 15mm across, with a cubic termination at one end.
A highly carbon rich diamond, or pseudomorph, it is a historical piece from the Museum collections, 1861
