Hey
I also bought a flat lap along with that slab saw. I don't know how to use it any ideas on where i can obtain that info??? Thanks Roger T.

There are many gem cutting books in your library, or available to you via interlibrary loan, that can guide you through the process of cutting and polishing with a flat lap.

Just for the sake of information:
Is this a vibrating lap or a lab on an arbour? That makes a big difference, since the vibrating one is a bit more passive in its processes, and the arbour based lap is totally under your control at all times.
