I am currently attempting to make some rough insurance valuations for my collection. I have some old Mexican and American pieces for which I have no idea of the value and would appreciate it if any one could assist with an opinion. I have had most of these 20-30 years.
US_NJ03: A franklinite on flourescent pink calcite from Sterling Hill. The franklinite measures 20mm (3/4") The faces are sharper on 3 sides and slightly rounded on the back. Dimensions of specimen:112mm x 65mm x 38mm. (4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2")
US_MO03: Galena on chalcopyrite from Joplin. The galena ranges from 4-15mm on edge. Dimensions: 130mm x 70mm x 40mm (5 /4" x 3 3/4" x 1 1/2")
US_OK01: ruby jack sphalerite and chalcopyrite from the Picher area. The spalerite is generally 1-3mm but the large lump is a single sphalerite crystal 19mm x 25mm x 20mm, translucent when backlit, studded with 2-4mm chalcopyrite octohedra. Dimensions: 60mm x 55 x 25mm (2 1/2" x 2" x 1".
Any assistance much appreciated.
Regards Robbie Neilson
