Hi everyone,

I got this blue cap tourmaline specimen, from what it looks to be an unusual locality from blue caps: Anjanaboinona pegmatites, Madagascar. It is the first time that I see a blue cap in Mada, maybe some occured in the past?

It measures 2.5x2.3x1.9cm, with 3 colors (pink, then nearly colorless, and royal blue like a sapphire)

it is also well terminated, very minor damages and good translucency.

Any idea about the value of this tourmaline?

Thanks!

Regards

Julien

Perhaps two to three hundred dollars retail?

Rock Currier
Crystals not pistols.

The glare in the photo makes it difficult to access if the edge of the termination is just a little uneven, or is it damaged. Without damage, maybe one hundred. With damage, significantly less.
