It should be noted that Jolyon is one of the keynote speakers at this conference!

I hope you're (yeah you JR) talking about evolution of sulphosalt minerals !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I might even be persuaded to come along. Actually this is an unmissable conference and a great opportunity for those who haven't visited Freiberg to see the Terra Mineralia Collection.

You sound like a former Keeper here who once issued the edict. "We've got enough quartz - no more" Which prompted me to seek out a quartz specimen of some description every time I went out in the field from that moment onwards...................

Beware of my nicknames BTW, they have a habit of sticking but you're probably too young to remember Dallas..........

Due to the high demand the abstract submission deadline of the 7th International Conference on Mineralogy and Museums in Dresden from August 27 until August 29, 2012 is extended to March 30, 2012.
