hello people

pls help , i think i have a heap of copper ores [nevada-outback-gems.com],
i realy want to know if what i have is what it is.

i have done the scratch test, i want to know what steps to follow to have a conclusive test, keep in mind no labs here but i can get what you tel me could help.

pls help me with info.

I must be guessing here, but do you have any hardness points, acids of any kind, and pictures ...
Obviously, you have internet, so why not research Mindat and find what copper or minerals there are that are known in the
area where you collected them.to give you a starting point, visually to relate to regards colours and form
as what is associated with what...and if you can recognize ore matrix rock,and the ore's thickness of deposition and that of it's associated minerals, since this sometimes offers you a group
of informations that give many clues to their identity

Well hassanz, I'm not quite sure what you're asking about, but if it's the specimen in the website you attached, it sure looks like chalcocite to me. Chalcocite is a copper sulphide mineral that is quite easy to identify if you have a good mineral book, or, as Ray suggested, do some research on Mindat and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for......
