I cannot figure out the country that has the locality on the label shown in the photo. Any help would be appreciated.

Probably from Chile. They use to designate their regions by both a name and a Roman numeral (see explanation here: http://www.mindat.org/loc-638.html)

I am reasonably sure that Peter is right.

I believe the label refers to the El Salvador Mine (or simply El Salvador the town itself) which is located in Diego de Almagro, Chañaral Province, Atacama Region, Chile

Cheers

Thanks to everyone who responded, both on and off the board.

Steve I know your question may have been already answered but the translation is as follows from what I could read:

"Native Copper

El Salvador Mine

El Salvador

III Region"

El Salvador may refer to the town itself and the mine is in the vicinity of the town. I am not sure what the III Region indicates or means however.

Steve

I believe the reference 'III Region' on your label refers to 'III Region de Atacama' in which the El Salvador Mine is located, being one of the 15 administrative regions of Chile.

Cheers
