Techniques for CollectorsIdentity of micromounter

Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased some micromounts out of a southern California collection; most of the collection was acquired in the past 15 years or so. Several of the pieces were carefully mounted and labeled by an unknown micromounter, whose initials are GRM. I have included a photo of one of the boxes. Does anyone recognize the craftsman?

Thanks.

Lou

Lou, did you show it to Fred Elsnau?

Steve,

I have not, but that is an excellent suggestion.

Thanks.

Certainly, John Ebner is the man to also consider.

The collector was the late Bob Massey, of Arizona. I have several hundred similarly labelled ones from his collection. The collection of over 10,000 mounted specimens was purchased in its entirety from the estate at auction by Rock Currier, who selected a lot of them (well over half) for his own collection and resold the rest, which are now distributed worldwide. Bob Massey was a quite meticulous mounter.

Thank you, Alfredo!
