Here are a few of my recent paintings, an elbaite from Stak Nala, a Columbian emerald (painted tonight) and an axinite-(Fe), from Colebrook Hill, Tasmania...

Thank you for posting your wonderful paintings, Steve. The black background effect is most effective - and I suspect as a complete ignoramus - technically difficult. I really appreciate your generosity in sharing them with us.
