Last year there has been a redefinition of Calcio-Olivine ( IMA 07-B ). Has Calcio-Olivine now a type locality?

Calcio-olivine (gamma-Ca2SiO4) was originally described from Marble Canyon, Culberson Co., Texas by T. Bridge, Am. Min. 51, 1766-1774(1966). I assume that would be considered the type locality, but the redefinition has not been formally published.

I think, instead, that the T/L can be from Germany... (I found this data in my database, but I ma not so sure...)

The solution, most probably, in the revalidation paper.

Thanks Jim and Marco,
it seems that someone else has a database with similar information.

MDI-Mineral lists Marble Canyon as type. Marco is correct, we will have to wait for the revalidation paper.
