I hope Mindat's longtime friend and collaborator Jim Ferraiolo will forgive this bit of mineralogical humour but, as there aren't too many jokes in mineralogy, I couldn't stop myself from sharing it.

Quoting from an article by Vandall King in the last issue of International Micromounters Journal:
"Myself, I'm hoping that MgAl(AsO4)(OH) gets named after Jim Ferraiolo. the mineral could be from the turquoise, gormanite, rockbridgeite, gerdtremmelite, flinkite, etc. groups. That way, when all the analogs are found, there might be a fluorphosphoferriferroferraioloite."

Thanks, Alfredo.

Van finally got managed to get that into print! I think he mentioned it to me twenty years ago.

If you can send me a copy, I'd appreciated it

Is this journal still being published.

I find little mention of it on the internet.

Thanks.
