Hi folks,
What's the story with Manganotantalite ? Can someone enlighten me on why it is listed as Tantalite - MN. Would it be that it is now considered a variety of Tantalite ?
I only recently noticed this alteration on Mindat.
I have just ordered my copy of Fleischer's 2008, so i am not totally up to date in this respect.

Yes, and No. The names of the Tantalite group have been changed, but Tantalite is still a series name and Tantalite-Mn and Tantalite-Fe are both valid species in their own right.
