Morphology:Crystals usually prismatic [0001]; also abular {0001}. Development usually distrinctly hemimorphic. Barrel-shaped at times, or with and irregular depression or extended cavity in {0001} Parallel groups or rosettes. Massive, lamellar or scaly {0001}.
Twinning:On {30_34}, repeated as fourlings at times. Paramorphs of iodargyrite after miersite show a mietic repeated twinning with iodargyrite [001] parallel to {111} of the original miersite.
