Beta-Willemite

A variety of Willemite

A secondary willemite that occurs as crusts of small, barrel-shaped crystals lining cavities in fault gouge cavities or solution cavities in regular ore at the Sterling Mine, Ogdensburg, NJ. The fluorescent response of golden-yellow to orange versus green is the distinguishing characteristic for this terminology.
