Colour:reddish brown to black ...
Name:Honouring Peter von Tunner, first director of the Leoben School of Mines.

A questionable mineral, first found at Bleiberg, Carinthia, and named "Zinkmanganerz" (Brunlechner, 1893). It was considered later as a variety of chalcophanite (Groth, 1898) and, eventually, as a new mineral (Cornu, 1909). According to Meixner (1969), it is probably identical to woodruffite. The type material is lost.

Originally described from Bleiberg District, Gailtaler Alpen & Karnische Alpen Mts, Carinthia, Austria.
