Synonym of:Arisite-(Ce)

Initially, the mineral was referred to as MSH UK60 (Chao et al., 1990), with the simplified bulk formula (Sr,Ba,Ca,REE,CO3). These authors considered two possibly related phases, one with Ba>Sr (UK60) and one with Sr>Ba (UK60a). Subsequent work showed that neither Ba nor Sr are essential to the mineral, which was then recognised to be identical to a new species from Aris, Namibia, named arisite-(Ce).
