A subgroup of the Alunite Supergroup.

Compare the Crandallite Subgroup and the Jarosite Subgroup.

The members of the Beudantite Subgroup have a 1:1 replacement of the (SO4) tetrahedra by (AsO4) or (PO4) tetrahedra. The A positions in this case are completely filled by the divalent cations Ca, Sr, or Pb.
