Name:Possibly after a Viennese mining official, Walther.
Synonym of:Walpurgite


A substance initially believed to be a hydrated bismuth carbonate with a possible essential uranium component. Later found to be identical to Walpurgite.
Originally described from Elias Mine, Jáchymov (St Joachimsthal), Ostrov, Krušné Hory Mts (Erzgebirge), Karlovy Vary Region, Bohemia (Böhmen; Boehmen), Czech Republic.
