Name:In allusion to the composition, being a SULFate of ALUMinium.


A substance of anthropogenic origin (burning coal mine dumps). Current IMA regulations do not allow such substances to be validated as mineral species.

Described as "trigonal millosevichite". X-ray pattern corresponds to that of synthetic Al2(SO4)3.

Strongly hygroscopic.
