A variety of Parnauite

Debaoite was described in 1990 without IMA approval as a new mineral, whose status remained uncertain. It was later recognized as a carbonate-bearing variety of Parnauite (the latter may however contain carbonate anyway, see there).

Originally reported from Debao (Qinjia) Cu-Sn deposit, Debao Co., Baise Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
