Originally described as an unnamed Pb-U-Al Phosphate (Cuchet et al., 2000), and given the designation UM2000-//-PO:AlPbU by IMA, but later identified as parsonsite on the basis of XRD and EPMA data (N. Meisser, pers. comm. August 2011 to U. Kolitsch).
