The lithium-(magnesium-iron-manganese) amphibole subgroup is one of the subgroups belonging to the W(OH,F,Cl) amphibole group. It is defined with Li and either Mg,Fe2+ or Mn2+ as the dominant elements in the X position (=IMA B position).

The IMA-CNMNC definition is 0.75 >B(Ca + ΣM2+)/ΣB > 0.25, BΣM2+/ΣB > BΣCa/ΣB and
0.75 > B(Na + Li)/ΣB > 0.25, BLi/ΣB > BNa/ΣB.)

BΣM refers to BΣ(Mg,Mn,Fe)

The lithium-(magnesium-iron-manganese) amphibole subgroup is further divided into root-name groups based on Mg, Fe or Mn dominance in the X position (= IMA B position) and the valence distribution in the A, Z (= IMA C position) and T positions.
