Formula:
Pd4As3 or Pd(Ni,Co,Cu,Ag)As or Pd3NiAs3
In uraninite-bearing shale and adjacent dolomite of the Lubin and Polkowice mines, within Zechstein Cu deposits of the Fore-Sudetic Monocline, Poland.
Possibly the Pd-As analogue of genkinite and As analogue of ungavaite. Usually anhedral; rarely as thin elongated crystals; grain under EPMA analysis was 7 x 10 microns in size. Associates with NiAs2, digenite, covellite, native gold, and Pd minerals - often intergrown with Pd3As phase (vincentite?). No synthetic analogues known.
One of a few Pd-As minerals known; other ones from the above deposits include 'UM1984-05-As:Pd' (the most common one), 'Unnamed (Pd Arsenide)', 'Unnamed (Pd Arsenide II)', 'UM1975-06-As:Pd', 'UM1984-01-As:AgAuCuNiPdS', and 'UM1984-06-As:Pd'.
