Name:	For the Saima complex, Fengcheng County, Liaoning Province, China, from where it has been reported.
Synonym of:	Hezuolinite

Originally reported as a new mineral, saimaite was later considered to be the same as strontiochevkinite. Further research has shown, however, that it is in fact a distinct phase, which is now named hezuolinite.
