A variety of Elbaite

Tourmaline Group.

A manganese-rich variety of Elbaite tourmaline. Theoretical end-member, never found in nature so far. Commonly considered as a Mn-bearing elbaite.

Originally reported from Tsilaizina (Tsilaisina), Sahatany Valley, Sahatany Pegmatite Field (Mt Bity (Ibity) area), Vakinankaratra Region (Betafo - Antsirabé region), Antananarivo Province, Madagascar.
