Locality: Mir Pipe (Myr Pipe), Mirny, Saha Republic (Sakha Republic; Yakutia), Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia
The diamond is five octahedra in parallel growth forming a single ~1.25 carat octahedron. The stone is brownish white and gemmy with the matrix visible through the stone. The 5x3 cm kimberlite is mostly serpentine and is rounded due to hydraulic mining. Mark Mauthner photo RWMW collection
