Chukhrovite-(Y), Creedite, Natrojarosite

Locality: Kara-Oba W deposit, Betpakdala Desert (Bet-Pak-Dal Desert), Karagandy Province (Qaragandy Oblysy; Karaganda Oblast'), Kazakhstan

Perfect chukhrovite-(Y) cubo-octahedron with sculptures on faces. Associating minerals are prismatic xls of creedite (are out focus) and brownish-yellow natrojarosite. FOV is ~3x3 mm. Collected by the author - Lidia P. Ermilova in 1958. Precise locality is vein N3 shurf 8 - the type locality for the specie. Pavel M. Kartashov collection (#2123) and photo.
