Strontiopyrochlore : (Sr,Ce,Ca)_2-x(Nb,Fe)₂(O,OH)₇, Albite : Na[AlSi₃O₈]

Locality: Vavnbed Mt, Lovozero Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia

1 mm size flattened octahedrons of strontiopyrochlore in cavity within albite. Such morphology is very typical for primary strontiopyrochlore of the locality. It contain 20-25 % SrO. Selfcollected in July 1994. Pavel M. Kartashov collection and photo.
