Locality: Ytterby, Resarö, Vaxholm, Uppland, Sweden
Tabular crystals of metamict glue-like formanite-(Y). Empyrical formula of the mineral is (Y.48REE.15Ca.08U.04Th.01)0.76(Ta.86Nb.10Ti.04)(O3.21(OH).79)4. Mineral contain microinclusions of tanteuxenite-(Y) grains. So may be yellow metamict "yttrotantalites" from Ytterby are formanite/tanteuxenite mixtures. Associating minerals are quartz and white plagioclase. FOV is ~12x10 mm. Pavel M. Kartashov collection and photo.
