Roxbyite, Sericite

Initially roxbyite was discovered in copper concentrates of Olympic Dam Mine. Some later became known, that it was formed artificially during technological process of ores benefication. Initial ores of the locality didn't contain the new mineral... Here you see undoubtedly natural roxbyite in sericite shist. Mineral is XRD confirmed. Collected in the middle of 60th and was labeled as "famatinite". FOV is ~12x10 mm. Pavel M. Kartashov collection and photo.
