Goethite, Chabazite, Calcite, Quartz (Var: Smoky Quartz)

Locality: Becker Quarry (Hellerberg Quarry), Freisen, St Wendel, Saarland, Germany

Sprays of goethite prisms to 13 mm spanning a gap between a mass of chabazite and calcite (top) and a crust of smoky quartz crystals (bottom). Collected in 1969. Field width: 3 cm. P Haas photograph and collection (no. 46-007), ex R Wein collection (no. 4049).
