Locality: Mineville, Moriah Township, Mineville District, Essex Co., New York, USA
Lustrous black metallic octahedral magnetite crystal with dodecahedral edge modifications. Well crystallized, though with minor natural imperfections. From the D. Olsen collection (1975). Ex. A. Stevenson collection #474. Overall size of mineral specimen: 15x13x13 mm. Size of individual crystals: 15 mm.
