Locality: New Cornelia Mine (Ajo Mine), Ajo, Little Ajo Mts, Ajo District, Pima Co., Arizona, USA

Plate of native copper covered on one side with pink calcite crystals up to 5 mm (fluorescent under UV illumination). Along one edge the calcite crystals are blood-red because of inclusions of cuprite, variety chalcotrichite. Unusual. Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x6x1 cm. Size of individual crystals: micro to 5 mm.
