Locality: San Juan de Rayas Mine (Rayas Mine; Reyes Mine), Guanajuato, Mun. de Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico

Note: The mineral species Argentite is not listed in our database for this locality. This specimen may be misidentified or the mindat list of minerals at this locality may be incomplete.

Cluster of many dark metallic acanthite crystals up to 3 mm. Most of the crystals are a cubic habit, so the acanthite is pseudomorphing the argentite. Ex. A. Stevenson collection #562. Overall size of mineral specimen: 18x12x12 mm. Size of individual crystals: 1-3 mm.
