A natural vivid purplish blue tourmaline crystal of gem-quality having a basal pyramid termination with minor cookeite cap; from the Tourmaline Queen mine, Pala, San Diego County, California, USA. Specimen measures approximately 40mm long. Produced by the San Diego Mining Company, from the Moore era underground workings, October 2000.
